It helps learners engage with information, explore ideas, and develop a deeper understanding of concepts. Recognition of Prior Learning

Overview The term “recognition of prior learning” should be understood as a process, undertaken by qualified personnel, of identifying, documenting, assessing and certifying a person’s competencies, acquired through formal, non-formal or informal learning, based on established qualification standards. Source: UNEVOC All NVQs in Pakistan are combination of generic, functional and technical competencies. Candidates entering through RPL system are assessed for their skills against the National Competency Standards and may qualify for either full qualification if they are declared “Competent” or may get “Record of Achievement” if they are declared competent in certain numbers of individual competencies.

Monitoring and Evaluation

(M&E) play a critical role in assessing the performance of training initiatives within TVET organizations. Monitoring involves the continuous observation and documentation of activities and progress, ensuring that implementation stays on track. In contrast, evaluation refers to a structured and objective analysis of a policy, plan, or program whether ongoing or completed, examining its design, execution, and outcomes.In the context of TVET, monitoring provides real-time insights during project implementation, much like checking the engine while a vehicle is in motion. Evaluation, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive review of a program’s effectiveness and overall impact, typically conducted at defined milestones—similar to a full vehicle inspection after a journey.
